iPhone vs Android: How to Find Device Info on Both

5 min readUpdated 2026-10-06

Short answer: Android shows substantially more. It exposes build numbers, kernel version, per-sensor detail, RAM figures, developer options and detailed battery statistics. iOS deliberately hides most hardware detail and does not show RAM anywhere in Settings. This is a platform policy difference, not a difference in hardware quality.

See everything at once, on either platform, with our free device specs tool or the Device Settings Information app. For step-by-step instructions on one platform at a time rather than a side-by-side comparison, see how to check your phone specs & device info.
