- Notes are stored locally on the device in a plain local database; the app does not state that note content itself is encrypted at rest.
- There is no automatic cloud backup or sync between devices â the only full backup/export path is a Pro feature, and it still produces a local file, not a cloud copy.
- Decoy mode and emergency wipe are destructive if misconfigured: a forgotten decoy PIN or a too-low wipe threshold can lock you out of your own notes.

Where are my notes stored?
Notes, folders and your PIN are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to Yalintech servers.
Can I back up or export my notes?
You can share individual notes out through your device's share sheet to any app (email, messaging, files). There is no automatic cloud backup, so export anything important manually before switching or wiping a device.
What is decoy mode?
Decoy mode is a Pro feature. You set a second PIN that, when entered, shows a separate, fake set of notes instead of your real ones. It must be configured while the app is already unlocked with your main PIN.
What does emergency wipe do?
Emergency wipe is a Pro feature that deletes all app data after a number of consecutive failed PIN attempts that you choose. Because it is destructive, set it carefully and keep a backup of anything important.
Can I recover a deleted note?
Deleted notes go to trash rather than being removed immediately, so you can recover a note you deleted by mistake before it is permanently gone.
How does the text scanner work?
Point the camera at a page, sign or whiteboard, or pick an existing photo, and the app runs text recognition on the image and lets you edit the extracted text as a note.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Writing, organizing, searching and the text scanner all work without an internet connection.
Does the free version show ads?
